More Than Words

IMG_1349

“It is bitter-sweet knowing it isn’t enough to say “I love you””**

“How is it bitter-sweet though?”

‘Tis sweet because “I tell no lies when I say I do”

‘Tis bitter because more than those 3 words,

I want to tell you other sweet truths

If only I could find the right words…

More than words,

I (want to) show it by my deeds

I hope you understand my love language(s)

But sometimes, deeds don’t seem to be enough

I wish I could just say ‘come feel this heart’

Maybe, just maybe, you’d feel what I’m feeling

I guess that’d never happen in this suit of dust.

It is what it is.

I love you.

Sometimes saying “I LOVE YOU” is just enough, because too many words may just take away from the depth of those three words coming from a sincerely truthful heart.

“I wish I could just say ‘come feel this heart’..Maybe, just maybe, you’d feel what I’m feeling” I love this! Beautiful words as always!

Ah, yes; ‘sometimes’ and ‘a sincerely truthful heart’. Therein, I think lies the rub.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

This poem was well-written, I enjoyed reading it.

Sometimes, “I love you” sounds rather clichéd, people say it mindlessly like a casual “How are you?”

I like love languages, deeds that are pregnant with feelings, kind gestures that show love. After all, they say action speaks louder than words, I’m inclined to agree. 🙂

‘Love’s like the wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it- Nicholas Spark. So, if you say to me ‘I love you’ and I plain fail to feel it; then something’s not adding up. Love’s a feeling, not a decision and ‘I love you’, sounds kinda like a proclamation. 😆

Action always proves why words means nothing and oft times, we can just tell instinctively how strongly a person to us wards feels, by the way they treat us; without a single word being uttered. There’s just that knowing that’d make one giddy….a feeling that one can’t shake off or even entertain any doubts ’bout. Afterall; Helen Keller affirms that ‘the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart’. 😁 The phenomenal musical group, En Vogue; from way back also had this to say or sing ’bout, if you will 😈…..’Giving him something he can FEEL, to let him know this love is REAL…’😊😄 See? 😆

    So, I say accordingly…’show me love, I don’t wanna hear it….am a visual learner’! 😂😂😂

Great going TM, this sizzles and is oh soo ‘schweet’! Way to go! 👍😄

Haha. That song lyric seems dubious 😆.
